Annual Cleary Act Issue
This issue of our Center Watch Newsletter is specially distributed in compliance with the Cleary Act, formerly known as the Campus Security Act.
The security act applies to all public and private institutions of postsecondary education that receive federal funding. It mandates that schools have to publish an annual report every year by October 1st that contains 3 years worth of campus crime statistics and certain security policy statements which assure basic victim's rights, the law enforcement authority of their campus police and how to report crimes. This information supplements our monthly crime statistics published in Inside Tulane and the Center Watch newsletters . Information about our Downtown Campus' Public Safety Deparmtment, safety programs and other safety related information can be found at our brochure rack at the Medical School, Tidewater Building, and the Murphy Building and in all orientation packets at the Health Sciences Center .
In this issue you'll find the statistical report for 2005—2007 on the reverse side.
