January 2009

1) OPEN WARRANT ARREST, on January 1, 2009, at 0320 Hours. TUHC Staff requested patient assist. Responding Officers discovered Subject wanted on outstanding warrant. Subject released from care, transported and booked on warrant.

2) THEFT/ASSAULT/RESIST ARREST, on January 2, 2009, at 0845 Hours TUHSC PD officers observed TUMS student & subject struggling over bicycle seat in front of TUMS. Subject attempted to strike student, fled and attempted to strike Officer. Subject arrested, photographed, transported & booked.

3) DISTURBING THE PEACE/RESISTING ARREST/BATTERY OF POLICE OFFICER, on January 4, 2009, TUHSC PD observed subject commit disturbance after being discharged from TUHC. Attending medical staff and Officer requested that she leave and she refused. Officers attempted to arrest and she committed battery on a police officer. Subject Arrested, photographed, transported and booked.

4) DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE, on January 6, 2009 at 0735 hours TUMS Staff member reported a Domestic disturbance by her husband when she observed him searching through her work desk. She requested that he leave but he did not comply. Upon R/O's arrival he had departed.

5) MISSING PROPERTY (PERSONAL), on January 6, 2009 at 1150 hours TUHSC staff reported missing personal property from 127 Elks place. The incident occurred between Monday 12/22/08 and 0830 12/23/08.

6) PUBLIC INTOXICATION/LEWD CONDUCT, on January 7, 2009 at 0907 hours TUHSC Officers observed a H/M subject commit public intoxication and lewd conduct at TUHC. Subject arrested and discovered he was wanted on 2 NOPD attachments. Subject transported to central lock-up without incident.

7) DISTURBING THE PEACE/SIMPLE ASSAULT, on January 7, 2009 at 1125 hours a TUHC staff member observed a TUHC patient disturb the peace and commit simple assault. Subject issued summons for charges. NOPD Item# A-07596-09 assigned.

8) MISSING PROPERTY (TUHC), on January 8, 2009 at 1514 hours TUHC staff reported missing TUHC property from the Cancer Center . The property was reported as a Laptop, laptop cord and a digital camera. The property was last seen on Tuesday 1/6/09.

9) MISSING PROPERTY (TUHC), on January 9, 2009 at 1445 hours a TUMS staff member reported missing TUHC property from 1555 poydras. The missing property was reported as 2 Zoom Voice recorders. The time occurred was Tuesday 12/23/08 at 1700 hours to 0800 hours on 1/6/09 Tuesday.

10) MISSING PROPERTY (PERSONAL), on January 11, 2009 at 1318 hours TUHC staff member reported missing personal property from TUHC. The property was reported as a purse with contents. The time occurred was Sunday 1/11/09 1030 – 1305 hours.

11) VEHICLE BURGLARY, on January 12, 2009 at 1345 hours TUMS staff reported that his vehicle was burglarized while parked in the 1700 block of Cleveland Avenue . Items stolen were 2 hunting knives, pair of shoes and a flashlight. The time of occurrence was Friday 1/9/09 at 1642 hours. Review of CCTV revealed that 2 unknown white male subjects responsible.

12) CODE RED (DRILL), on January 14, 2009 at 1109 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to a code red drill at a manual pull station in TUHC.

13) VANDALISM, on January 15, 2009 at 1612 hours TUMS student reported vandalism of her laptop computer lock that was attached to her personal computer in the JBJ building. Time of occurrence was Thursday 1/15/09 unknown to 1602 hours.

14) SIMPLE TRESPASS, on January 16, 2009 at 0840 hours TUMS staff reported simple trespassing by w/m subject. Subject stopped, advised of the trespassing policy and escorted off campus.

15) CODE RED (FALSE), on January 16, 2009 at 0850 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to a code red TUMS. R/O's discovered it to be false.

16) CODE RED (FALSE), on January 16, 2009 at 1517 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to a code red. Activation was due to clothes dryer.

17) VEHICLE THEFT, on January 17, 2009 at 0900 hours a TUHC visitor reported a vehicle theft from the 1400 block of Cleveland avenue from Saturday 1/17/09 1300 to 1700 hours. Vehicle was described as a white 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage DE 4 door.

18) MISSING PROPERTY (TUHC), on January 19, 2009 at 1456 hours TUHC staff reported missing TUHC property from Primary care TUHSC from Monday 1/12/09 at 1700 to 1325 hours to Friday 1/16/09. Missing property was a Nerve stimulator.

19) CODE RED (DRILL), on January 19, 2009 at 2306 TUHSC Police Officers responded to a code red at an unmarked pull station on floor 1 of TUHC. Activation was due to a drill.

20) BATTERY ON TUHC STAFF, on January 20, 2009 at 1045 hours TUHC staff member reported a battery on staff occurred on floor 5 at 0745 hours by a TUHC patient. Issued summons #c18639. NOPD item# A-23109-09 assigned.

21) MISSING PROPERTY (PERSONAL), on January 23, 2009 at 0918 hours TUHC staff reported missing personal property on floor 6 TUHC from Thursday 1/22/09 0930 hours to 0918 hours on Friday 1/23/09. Missing was a Cellular telephone.

22) DISTURBANCE, on January 23, 2009 at 0927 hours TUHC staff reported Visitor related disturbance on floor 5 TUHC at 0900 hours. Subject was a B/F and was photographed, warned and released without incident.

23) MISSING PROPERTY (PERSONAL), on January 26, 2009 at 1410 hours TUHC patient reported missing personal property from floor 6, TUHC on Sunday 1/25/09 from 1800 to 0530 hours on Monday 1/26/09. Missing was a cellular telephone.

24) SIMPLE BATTERY BY SPOUSE, on January 26, 2009 at 1620 hours Deming pavilion resident reported simple battery by spouse at Deming pavilion from 1320 to 1620 hours. Resolved by summons. NOPD item# A-29866-09 assigned.

25) WORKING FIRE, on January 29, 2009 at 0431 hours TUHSC Police Officer observed a working fire at the abandoned Carpet World building at 1539 Canal Street . NOFD arrived and worked the scene. NOPD item#A-32979-09 assigned.

26) MISSING PROPERTY (TUHC), on January 29, 2009 at 0925 hours TUHC staff reported missing personal property from floor 7, TUHC from Wednesday 1/28/09 to 0920 hours on Thursday 1/29/09. Missing property was a digital camera.

27) DISTURBANCE; WANTED ON N.O. TRAFFIC ATTACHMENT, on January 31, 2009 TUHC staff reported a disturbance on floor 6 of TUHC that just occurred. TUHSC Police Officers responded and discovered B/F subject wanted on outstanding traffic attachment. Handled administratively.
