1) DISTURBING THE PEACE, on Saturday May 2, 2009 TUHC staff reported an ER patient causing a disturbance by yelling and refusing to cooperate with medical staff. TUHSC Police Officers attempted to speak with the subject but met with negative results. Subject discharged from medical care. Subject approached R/O's in an aggressive manner and was arrested and charged with Disturbing the Peace. Subject issued NOPD Summons #C18650 and item E-2252-09 was assigned. Subject departed without further incident.
2) CODE RED (FALSE), on Monday May 4, 2009 TUHSC Police Officers responded to floor 3 of the Murphy building in reference to a code red. Activation was caused by an electrician working in the area.
3) MISSING PROPERTY (PERSONAL), on Monday May 4, 2009 TUHSC Staff reported missing property from the residents lounge from 0800 to 1930 hours. On-going Investigation.
4) THEFT FROM VEHICLE INTERIOR (PERSONAL), on Monday May 4, 2009 TUMS student reported that at 1800 hours he parked his vehicle in the 1600 block of Cleveland avenue and at 2130 hours he returned and discovered the drivers side front window broken and personal property missing.
5) REPORTED SUSPICIOUS PERSON AND ACTIVITY, on Monday May 4, 2009 TUHSC staff reported that at 2205 hours she observed a W/M subject in the TUHSC Cancer Center rummaging through the receptionist desk drawers. When she approached he ran out of the clinic in an unknown direction. Investigations revealed that $102.00 in U.S. paper currency was missing from a cash box. On-going Investigation.
6) MISSING PROPERTY (TUHC), on Tuesday May 5, 2009 TUHC staff reported missing TUHC property from Monday 5/4/09 1645 hours to 0545 hours on Tuesday 5/5/09. Missing was $10.00 U.S. Currency and gray metal cash box valued at $50.00. Total $60.00. Investigation On-going.
7) THEFT FROM VEHICLE INTERIORS, on Tuesday May 5, 2009 TUHC staff and faculty member reported theft from vehicle interior while parked in 1430 Tulane avenue parking garage from 0900 to 1650 hours. Missing property was valued at $690.00. Partial recovery of items. $50.00 value. Investigation On-going.
8) CODE RED (FALSE), on Tuesday May 5, 2009 TUHSC Police Officers responded to floor 1 of TUHC in reference to a Code Red. Activation was caused by an EVS Staff member spraying room deodorizer.
9) FOUND PROPERTY RETURNED TO OWNER; THEFT AND PARTIAL RECOVERY, at 2347 hours on Thursday May 7, 2009 TUHC staff member turned in small wallet with contents discovered in a trashcan in TUHC. Owner notified and informed Officers that wallet was originally in purse and contained $40.00 that was now missing. All items recovered except currency.
10) CODE RED (DRILL), on Friday May 8, 2009 TUHSC Police Officers responded to floor 3 of TUHC in reference to a Code Red and discovered it to be a drill.
11) OFF-CAMPUS VEHICLE BURGLARY, at 1420 hours on Friday May 8, 2009 Kidopolis staff member reported that while parked off-campus in the 1800 Block of Palmyra street her vehicle was burglarized from 0810 to 1410 hours. Missing: Cellular Telephone value $100.00.
12) MISSING PROPERTY (PERSONAL), on Saturday May 9, 2009 TUHC patient reported missing property from her assigned room. Missing: Cellular telephone. Value: $200.00.
13) CODE RED (FALSE) on Monday May 11, 2009 TUHSC Police Officers responded to the TUHC Mezzanine in reference to a code red. The activation was caused by smoke from overcooked food.
14) NOPD ASSIST (RESOLVED BY ARREST) on Tuesday May, 12, 2009 TUHSC Police Officer was flagged down by an unaffiliated passer-by in reference to a fight they witnessed on Canal street . The complainant also informed the Officer that the aggressor was seated on the TUHC ER ramp. NOPD who were searching the area for the subject were notified and arrived to the ER. Upon arrival NOPD took custody of the identified subject.
15) STUDENT COMPLAINT OF UNWANTED EMAILS, on Tuesday May 12, 2009 TUMS Faculty sent TUMS Student to TUHSC Police in reference to unwanted emails received from another TUMS Student. Handled Administratively.
16) CODE RED (FALSE), on Tuesday May 12, 2009 TUHSC Police Officers responded to Deming Dormitory floor 3 in reference to a code red. Activation was caused by the smoke from overcooked food.
17) TRESPASSING (WARNED AND RELEASED), on Wednesday May 13, 2009 TUHSC Police Officer observed a subject Trespassing. Officers detained subject, photographed him, warned him of the trespassing policy and released him without further incident.
18) CODE RED (DRILL), on Monday May 18, 2009 at 1612 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to floor 4 TUHC in reference to a code red and discovered it to be a drill. CBI.
19) CODE RED (TEST), on Tuesday May 19, 2009 at 0545 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to floor 3 of the Murphy building in reference to a code red and discovered it to be a test. CBI.
20) CODE RED (DRILL), on Tuesday May 19, 2009 at 1439 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to Childcare at 127 Elk Place in reference to a code red and discovered it to be a drill. CBI.
21) HARASSING EMAIL & TEXT MESSAGING COMPLAINT: EMPLOYEE TERMINATION, on Wednesday May 20, 2009 TUHC staff member reported harassing email and text messages from a recently terminated employee to a current employee. CBI, CAHA.
22) DISTURBANCE, on Thursday May 21, 2009 at 1430 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to a disturbance on floor 2, TUHC. Officers discovered a disturbance between the shop vendor and a visitor. CBHA.
23) MISSING PROPERTY (PERSONAL), on Thursday May 21, 2009 at 1740 hours TUHC patient reported missing personal property from 5-center room from 0830 to 1700 hours. CBI.
24) UNAUTHORIZED USE OF TUHC COMPUTER, CREATING A DISTURBANCE, STUDENT'S REFUSAL TO PROVIDE IDENTIFICATION, on Saturday May 23, 2009 at 1313 hours TUHSC Police Staff observed Pharmacology student using an unauthorized computer in TUHC. Upon TUHSC Police Officers investigating the matter the student caused a disturbance by becoming verbally combative and then refused to provide personal identification. CBHA, CAHS.
25) CODE RED (FALSE), on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at 1347 hours TUHSC Police Officers responded to a code red on the mezzanine level of TUHC and discovered it to be false. Activation was caused by steam from a valve. CBI.
26) RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE, on Friday May 15, 2009 TUHSC Police Officer was notified by a TUMS staff member that his stolen vehicle was recovered. (See D-114-09). CBI, CA.
27) HIT AND RUN VEHICLE ACCIDENT, on Wednesday May 27, 2009 at 1258 hours a Hit and Run vehicle accident was reported to TUHSC Police Officers. Investigations revealed both vehicles involved but neither driver was present. Notes left on both vehicles.
28) SIMPLE TRESPASSING: WARNED AND RELEASED, on Wednesday May 27, 2009 at 1500 hours an unknown subject (later identified) was observed commit simple trespass. Subject stopped, warned and released. CBHA.
